Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2019 Eligibility Criteria for Class IX Admission
Only those candidates who are studying Class VIII during the Academic Session 2018-19 in one of the Govt./Govt. recognized schools of the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya is functioning and where admission is sought, are eligible.
Candidate appearing for the admission test must qualify/ pass Class VIII in the academic session 2018-19 from a Govt./Govt. recognized school in the district where he/she is seeking admission.
A candidate seeking admission to Navodaya Vidyalayas must be born between 01st May 2003 and 30th April 2007 (both days inclusive). This is applicable to all categories of candidates including those who belong to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribe.
Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti reserves the right to refer any candidate to a MEDICAL BOARD for confirmation of the age of the candidate, in case any doubt arises about the age on the basis of certificate produced by the candidate before confirmation of admission.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2019 Selection Process
Selection in the selection test will not vest any right upon candidate to secure admission into JNV till the candidate produces all the relevant certificates such as birth certificate, pass certificate of VIII class with mark sheets, SC/ST certificate, if any, as prescribed by NVS for the admission.
Details of the marks obtained in the test will not be communicated and there is no provision for re-checking/re-totalling.
Candidates will be considered for the admission only into that Vidyalaya for which he/she has appeared for Selection Test.

Stipend:

  (b) Present stipend for apprentices posted for training in Delhi/ NCR will be ranging from ₹ 10,000/- ₹ 14000/- depending upon qualification and discipline in line with the Apprentices Act., however, the stipend for Apprentices in other locations may vary based on the minimum wages of the location for semi-skilled workers.
(c) Technician Apprentices will be paid a stipend equivalent to Trade Apprentices.
(d) The Apprentice Trainees shall not be entitled to any other benefit / facilities / allowances apart from the consolidated stipend. The trainee is not eligible for any TA-DA/Boarding or Lodging expenses incurred during the period of training. EIL will not provide any assistance towards transportation.
Educational Qualifications:

Accountant -> Graduate Degree (B.Com).

Library Assistant -> BA / B.Com / B.Sc. Degree.

Trade Apprentices (for all other posts) -> ITI in concerned / required trade. 
Technician Apprentices -> Diploma in Concerned Engineering Discipline.

Selection Methods:

(1) Trade/ Discipline wise merit list will be drawn based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying exam.
(2) Highest qualification in a trade/discipline will be given preference.
(3) Candidates, registered with Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT), Regional Directorate of Apprentice Training (RDAT), shall be given preference.
(4) Wherever CGPA/CPI or other grades in qualifying examination is awarded, equivalent % of marks should be indicated in the application as per norms adopted by concerned University / Institute. The candidate shall be required to submit a certificate to this effect from the University/Institute at the time of reporting, in case of selection.
